Have you noticed how our wonderful Queen very often dresses in all one colour? Or, subtly differing shades of the same colour!
When it comes to colour, we all have preferences. Maybe you like to wear bright clashing colours, patterns or plain, or like the queen, preferring to wear just one colour at a time.
Dressing in all one colour is a very clever trick if you either want to stand out from the crowd, or blend in.
BRIGHTS
When you wear bright block colours in your whole outfit, it can be very striking. It can say that you are very much in control and you are someone who puts careful thought into things. You want to be taken seriously!
Choosing the right bright, is very much dependent on your skin tone and also your personality. If you’re a super confident type of person or want to feel more confident, using a striking colour such as fuchsia, orange, or bright blue can really make a statement.
NEUTRALS
If you like the idea of wearing all one colour, but don’t want to stand out. Opt for a neutral colour palette. Working with your natural skin tone is even more important here, than it is with the brights.Neutrals, head to toe in the wrong shade could make you look washed out lacking in energy – not a look we want?
Wearing block neutrals will create the effect of being quietly confident, measured and thoughtful. You won’t stand out in a crowd, but if you are a soft Summer personality and palette, this look can work perfectly!
HAVE A PLAY
If you want to dress in a ‘queenly’ way, why not have a look through your wardrobe and see if you have items of a similar colour that you could wear together and give it a try?
