What is Colour Analysis?
People talk about “colour analysis” or “having their “colours done”, but what does this mean? Surely everyone can wear every colour, and don’t we all look good in black? And white is just perfect for the summer, right? Well, actually – no. We have three elements in our skin – haemoglobin, carotene and melanin. The tones which suit you best will be determined on your unique combination of all three.

The effect of colour
As a Colour Consultant I know how colour has a profound effect on our lives. We are constantly under its influence, whether we are aware of it or not.
Although you can wear almost any colour it’s the shade and tone of the colour that makes the difference. So yes, you can wear a shade of red, or pink, or even yellow – if you want to, that is!
Colour elements
Our dominant colour elements are either warm or cool, which are defined by seasons. During a Colour Consultation we will go deeper into the many different colour shades within your colour season. I will also take into consideration your eye colour and the colour pattern in your eyes.
Discovering your colours
If you want to discover which shades of different colours suit you best, then a Colour Consultation is for you! During your consultation you will receive your own colour fan to help you really embrace your colours.
What to expect from your personal Colour Analysis Consultation
We’ll talk about you, your lifestyle, your likes and dislikes and importantly, how you’d like to feel about yourself – your personality, in other words. I will also assess your eye colour, eye pattern, hair colour and skin tone.
I’ll drape carefully selected, colour swatches over your shoulders to uncover your season. We’ll establish which colours look great on you and how best you can wear the shades of your best colours. You’ll also find out which are your best neutral shades.
You’ll be delighted how when your perfect colour collection looks back at you in the mirror, your skin tone will look more even, any dark shadows or circles under your eyes will diminish and you’ll look fresh and energised.
We finish our session, with some basic makeup colour advice. (A full makeup lesson can be included, for an additional cost)
Your personal colour consultation takes place in my light, airy and comfortable space, just outside Eastbourne. I also offer an online version if it’s easier for you.
It really is magic and a lot of fun
Once we’ve worked everything out together, I’ll start showing you how to put your seasonal colour palette together.
And yes, that may include black and how best to wear it.
Your complimentary colour app will be your new best friend to remind you of your beautiful colours!
During a Complete Colour Analysis, you will also have the opportunity to show me a few items of clothing, that you may be unsure about – in terms of the colour.
