What is a B Corporation and what does it mean for you?
Have you been spotting the B Corp logo on companies you buy from and and products the sell?
This logo is gradually showing up across all sectors and I am extremely proud to represent a B Corp, for the beauty and nutrition products I use and recommend.
But what does it stand for?
B Corps are for-profit companies dedicated to using business as a force for good.
They have to meet very high standards and be wholly transparent, in all their social and environmental business decisions. In other words, they have to pledge to take care of their employees and customers and the community they serve. Also, their environment and the planet as a whole.
These high standards are continually measured, so it’s not like a one off award. Companies have to continually show what they are striving towards their goals.
Having B Corp status means that a customer and employee can trust what they say and what they have to offer
The Arbonne brand
This is the one I love so much! It was one of the first and the fastest to meet the standards for B Corp status. For 42 years it has had people and planet in the forefront of everything. The B Corp standards form the fundamentals of it’s DNA and value system. Everything the Arbonne founder held dear to his heart.
When I see the B Corp logo on anything now, I choose that product above others, because I know that I can trust it. More and more people are making conscious decisions about the values behind a brand, before parting with their cash.
